It was formed in 2024 through the merger of the National Center for Transgender Equality (NCTE) and the Transgender Legal Defense and Education Fund (TLDEF), two longstanding champions for trans rights. A4TE works through policy advocacy, legal defense, education, and political endorsements to advance equality and help trans people live joyfully without barriers.
Mercer County Democratic Party
The Mercer County Democratic Party consists of dedicated leaders and public servants in rural northwest Ohio. Committed to Liberty, Equality, and Unity, they focus on supporting Democratic candidates across the ballot while building community through regular meetings, voter outreach, and events that emphasize diversity, fairness, and collective progress. Dion Manley is a dedicated public servant and single dad who made history in 2021 as Ohio’s first openly transgender person elected to public office. A longtime Gahanna resident and proud parent of a Gahanna-Jefferson Schools graduate, he serves on the Gahanna-Jefferson School Board, where he advocates for inclusive education, strong schools, and preparing all students for success.
