A Better Path Forward
Family, Fairness and a Future
As your next State Representative for the 84th District, I'll fight every day for an Ohio that works for working families — affordable living, good-paying jobs, strong public schools, and safe communities.
Guided by my vision of A Better Path Forward: Family, Fairness and a Future, I've already shown I can deliver real results, from standing up for lower costs in St. Marys to building bridges across divides and advocating for fairness and opportunity for every Ohio family.
In Columbus, I'll keep putting people over politics, listening to your concerns, and working together to build a stronger, fairer future for all of us in the 84th.

About Arienne
Arienne Childrey is a dedicated community leader and advocate running for Ohio’s 84th House District. She is the daughter, granddaughter, and great-granddaughter of coal miners from a small town in southwestern Virginia. Growing up, she saw the real cost of that work firsthand: her grandmother lost a brother in a mining collapse, and she watched her grandfather and great-uncle battle black lung for decades — with her great-uncle finally receiving benefits only a few years before his death. Those experiences shaped her deep commitment to working families and fair opportunity. She moved to Ohio in 2014, drawn to the sense of possibility and community here, and has proudly called it home ever since.
Her more than twenty years in retail management gave her practical leadership skills and a firsthand understanding of what keeps families strong: affordable costs, safe neighborhoods, and accountable government. That real-world perspective led her into public service. In January 2025, she was appointed to the St. Marys City Council, where she served as the lone Democrat. She worked to keep the city affordable by calling for an independent rate study on a proposed refuse collection increase, while also prioritizing public safety and transparency. She collaborated across party lines with her Republican colleagues to address residents’ concerns, always putting people before politics.
Arienne continues to serve on the St. Marys Tree Commission and Zoning Board of Appeals, helping create a greener, more livable community. Guided by this vision, she advocates for policies that lift up every Ohio family — including those who too often face extra barriers to opportunity and dignity. Her work has earned recognition, including the 2025 Emerging Leader Award from Equality Ohio, and she currently serves as Vice Chair of the Ohio Democratic Party Pride Caucus, building support for inclusive solutions that benefit all.
With a proven record of standing up for everyday folks, bridging divides, and fighting for fairness, Arienne is ready to bring that same practical, common-sense approach to Columbus. She will work with anyone focused on real solutions for good-paying jobs, affordable living, public safety, and a stronger future for all of us in the 84th District.
